David Lindley is mostly obscure, except to all the great musicians on whose albums he has played. I bought this for "Mercury Blues", which you can hear played on many albums about 1/th as good as on this album. Lindley's is the DEFINITIVE version, and primo rock and roll. I /5(87).

David Perry Lindley (born March 21, ) is an American musician who founded the band El Rayo-X, and who has worked with many other performers including Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, Curtis Mayfield and Dolly tearinmeltsedaxib.fauvalricalbarsserockhighclaraloseth.co has mastered such a wide variety of instruments that Acoustic Guitar magazine referred to Lindley not as a multi-instrumentalist, but instead as a "maxi-instrumentalist.".

What holds David Lindley's multiplicity of sources and strings together is the Bounce: the elastic lilt that so many reggae, funk, Cajun, Latin and polka styles have in common. Indeed, the Bounce may be the sound of the beat remembering that dancers need time to bend their knees. But to Lindley.
